Misrule in Kerala

#Misrule
In Kerala, the intersection of politics and policing has become increasingly problematic, exposing deep flaws in the governance system.

The recent allegations against ADGP Ajith Kumar by MLA PV Anvar, a member of the ruling CPM, highlight a disturbing trend where even high-ranking officials are not immune to accusations of corruption and misconduct. This situation underscores a broader pattern of misrule in Kerala, where political affiliations seem to overshadow principles of justice and accountability.

Furthermore, this incident illustrates a troubling normalization of political interference in law enforcement. When an MLA from the ruling party publicly accuses a senior police officer of wrongdoing, it reveals not just individual lapses but systemic failures within the state's governance structure.

The reliance on internal investigations led by those with potential conflicts of interest only deepens public skepticism and erodes trust in the institutions.  Such practices betray the democratic ideals of transparency and accountability. It reflects a troubling descent into misrule that undermines the rule of law in Kerala.
