വിരമിക്കല്‍ പ്രായം ഉയര്‍ത്തണമെന്ന് സംഘടനകള്‍

മന്ത്രിസഭ ചര്‍ച്ചചെയ്യുമെന്ന് ഉപസമിതി

തിരുവനന്തപുരം: സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ജീവനക്കാരുടെ വിരമിക്കല്‍ പ്രായം അറുപത് വയസ്സായി ഉയര്‍ത്തണമെന്ന് ഭരണ, പ്രതിപക്ഷ സര്‍വീസ് യൂണിയനുകള്‍ ഒറ്റക്കെട്ടായി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ആവശ്യം മന്ത്രിസഭയെ ധരിപ്പിച്ചശേഷം ഉചിതമായ തീരുമാനമെടുക്കുമെന്ന് ചര്‍ച്ചയ്ക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കിയ മന്ത്രിസഭാ ഉപസമിതി അധ്യക്ഷന്‍ കെ.എം. മാണി അറിയിച്ചു. സെക്രട്ടേറിയറ്റില്‍ ചര്‍ച്ചകള്‍ നടക്കുമ്പോള്‍ പുറത്ത് യുവജന സംഘടനകള്‍ നടത്തിയ ധര്‍ണ അക്രമാസക്തമായി. ദര്‍ബാര്‍ ഹാളിലേക്ക് കടക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ച രണ്ടുപേരെ പോലീസ് അറസ്റ്റുചെയ്തുനീക്കി.


Comment: The main grievance of the employees is that Kerala is the only state in the country where state government employees and school and college teachers retire at 55 years and in other states, the retirement age is 58 years. Nevertheless they deliberately hide the situation that Kerala is only State where the percentage of job seekers is the highest. According to the latest economic review tabled in the state assembly early this year, the number of job seekers till June 2010 stood at 4.32 million, including 161,641 professional and technical workers and 4.16 million others. The sleeping youths can now wake up.
